Dr Kershaw’s Hospice benefits from every tree planted as part of the Life for a Life Memorial Forest Scheme dedicated through Dr Kershaw’s.

If you wish to be part of the Life for a Life Memorial Forest Scheme, and place an order for a tree to be planted, order forms are available from the Hospice. When you place an order you will be provided with a number of options, both as to the species of tree to be planted and the planting area.

The species of tree available are:

Silver Birch (Betula pendula)
Rowan - [Mountain Ash] (Sorbus aucuparia)
Scots Pine (Pinus sylvestris)
English Oak (Quercus robur)

'Life For A Life' in growing partnership with Dr. Kershaw's Hospice is proud to announce the opening of a new memorial forest located at Salmon Fields Meadow.

The opening of this beautiful new site donated by the Countryside Services of Oldham makes a fitting extension to the existing sites, which are now full at both Salmon Fields and within the grounds of the Hospice. Due to the close proximity of the meadow to Dr. Kershaw's Hospice, it will be obvious to clients that the Hospice will be the main beneficiary of funds generated by the site.

The site itself can accommodate about 150 memorial trees and it is anticipated that this new 'Life For A Life' Memorial Forest will quickly become a much sought after place of remembrance. Click here for further details.

The planting sites include:

Salmon Fields Meadow, Royton, Oldham
Strinesdale Country Park, Waterhead, Oldham
Dovestones Indian's Head Memorial Forest, Greenfield, Oldham
Calf Lane, Greenfield, Oldham
Watergrove Reservoir, Wardle, Rochdale
Torside, Glossop
Marklands Reservoir, Horwich, Bolton
Dr. Kershaw's Hospice, Royton, Oldham (Site Full)

Additional sites are being prepared all the time.

Orders must be made via Dr Kershaw’s in order for the Hospice to benefit.
